GRADEL LW SARL
Description
Gradel Light Weight is an engineering company pioneering disruptive technology for manufacturing lightweight composite structures. Its Gradel Robotic Additive Manufacturing (GRAM) technology impregnates any type of fiber with any resin type using a fully automated digital process. GRAM is an advanced form of structure robotic filament (continuous fibre) winding of composite materials.
Applying topology-optimised design allows mass savings of up to 70%, while maintaining mechanical functionality. Flexible in part size and complexity, GRAM produces structures from 5 cm up to several meters in 3D space. GRAM also enables manufacturing intelligent, ultra-light components with well-defined functions. Using bio-based materials in less quantities, it can serve sustainability goals by reducing carbon and material footprint in broad applications.
Gradel LW deliver GRAM machines and ultra-lightweight manufactured parts to high-added-value sectors as Space, Aerospace, Defence and in other sectors like architecture and building industry. Examples are Space satellites (for example, antenna supports, brackets, dispensers), drones, high ballistic, blast and fire-resistant part solutions as well as aerospace parts for primary, secondary structure or interior, where the reduction of mass is an essential criterion. Beside mass reduction GR-LW is working on sustainably solutions to perform recyclability of resins and fibres to reduce the Carbon foodprint.
GR-LW has a high qualified Design / CAD and FEM simulation department as well as a robotic department doing topology optimizations and robotic programming from existing part structures in metal or composites to manufacture GRAM ultra lightweight composite structures.
